ALOHA So
*the desert's best kept secret*

Welcome to the ALOHA HOTEL nestled in the wind-free south end of sunny Palm Springs, California, in the Tahquitz River Estates! We are located in a sheltered cove at the foot of the San Jacinto mountains adjacent to the Tahquitz Canyons and the free south Lykken hiking trail. You can be a novice and only hike 15 minutes to see our great landscape, or you may choose to hike the day!

The is our new trolley which stops outside the Aloha Hotel, Thursday through Sunday from 11am to 1am. If you fly in, cab to the hotel and then enjoy the free trolley! If you drive in, leave the parking to the BUZZ. Yes, it's free, so you may have standing room only. It runs every 15 minutes four days out of the week, so come for a free ride!

Established in 1947, we were the first hotel in the Palo Verde Estates, as we are located on South Palm Canyon at Palo Verde Avenue, 1080 South Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, California. 92264.

Aloha Hotel Palm Springs, an eleven unit boutique hotel, is the jackpot for Mid Century architecture! If you like architecture, you will find home tours of the old Hollywood stars are almost as abundant as those of architectural tours. During the month of February each year there is even special ten day homage to Modernism Week, an event packed week with weekends on both ends full of parties and tours. Spanish and even Hawaiian style architecture can be found.

Whatever you are looking for, while on vacation at the Aloha Hotel Palm Springs, you will have a good time discovering our well kept secrets. Everything in Palm Springs is close by, and with 360 days of sunshine in paradise, relax, recharge, and renew!

After 45 years at the Aloha Hotel Palm Springs, we would be honored to assist in your plans. We can help you in English, Spanish, Italian, and French.. If you are flying in, you do not need a car to visit the desert from our location. LBGT very welcome!

We can accommodate your party of 1 up to 40 at the historic Aloha Hotel Palm Springs! Bring your family and your friends, or tell no one and come by yourself. Get away: you deserve it! We can arrange your tours, hikes, bike rides, dinners, as well as visits to surrounding areas. We are open year round and we are one phone call or click away: Scroll up to the "RATES" tab, click, and at the bottom of that page submit your inquiry. We will contact you within 24 hours! Please completely fill out the form to receive a response. An inquiry will be confirmed as a reservation prior to any charges on your card.

For example, if there are 20 guests in your party, you could rent a combination of rooms, for a total of 8 rooms! The pool side area has a large cabana and a barbecue adjacent. We have an area for a band and/or DJ poolside. There would be an additional charge for visiting guests for a day pass for your event. This is a great place to host an event all year long including summer.

If you would like to be poolside for day use, we offer that as well. A fabulous day could include a hike at Tahquitz Canyon, Palm Canyon, or Murray Canyon, in the early morning with the rest of the day relaxing by our new pool. The 3.5 mile, free South Lykken trail is ONE SHORT BLOCK AWAY. This trail is free (did I mention that?) and of moderate difficulty if you go all the way to the top! You will see phenomenal views until you reach the picnic table at the highest peak.  Tahquitz Canyon is adjacent to the Lykken trail. There is a fee and gate hours. This canyon has waterfalls if we have had rain. If you like to hike or would like to jump start your day, we are the closest hotel to any hiking paths in this desert. Why does that matter? Enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountains all day from your room. Tis the season! The weather right now is PERFECT!

Plenty! World famous Zelda's is less than two blocks away. The PUB is a four block walk. Downtown Palm Springs is a half a mile from Aloha Hotel Palm Springs where you will find the Palm Springs Art Museum and the Spa Resort Casino.
You can walk or bicycle or trolley to restaurants and shopping in downtown or east of our property to the Smoketree shopping area. Smoketree Stables, nearby, offer horses  and tours to
Bob Hope's house.

If you are looking to eat in great restaurants, such as Pinocchio's, with bottomless mimosas all day Sunday, or Lu-Lu's, happy hour all day and night, or dance the night away in the clubs, downtown is close at hand! Stay for one night (a quick get away), or enjoy an extended stay for a week, or a month in a poolside suites with a kitchenette. You will return again and again to explore and revisit once the Aloha Hotel becomes your hide away. There is something about the desert that will lure you back as so many have for decades.
Hard Rock opened and is located a few blocks north.

Shopping is available downtown from eclectic shops that carry many items you will not find anywhere in the world as well as Palm Springs branded products such as tee shirts, hats, and mugs. You will also find a large assortment of celebrity oriented memorabilia depicting the many celebrities who called Palm Springs their home. Walk to the center of downtown within minutes and check out the stars on the walk of fame.
Thursday nights Palm Canyon Drive closes for the street fair where vendors with hand made items only are allowed to sell their goods along with fruit stands, food stands, and much activity. Thursday night is a "locals" night out on the town! Take the trolley; ride for free; no worries about parking!
If you want some of the more nationally recognized labels try the nearby Cabazon Outlets and or the Shops of El Paseo, the Rodeo Drive of the desert, both a
20 minute drive from Aloha Hotel Palm Springs, one to the north and one south of the Aloha.
